The Wellington Apple Market building, at 214 N. Jefferson, sold today at public auction.
Tom McAlister, with the McAlister Group, purchased the 13,610 square-foot building at $71, 452.50, an average of $5.25 per square-foot.
McAlister said he has no immediate plans for the building, but will be discussing the options with his wife. He said he is looking into the possibilities of putting two or three businesses at the location.
The Wellington Apple Market closed its doors in Feb. 2010 and has been vacant ever since.
