Cloyd Dean Cully, 86, of South Haven, died Saturday (November 3, 2012) at the Golden Living Center of ElDorado. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday (November 10, 2012) at the Rose Hill Cemetery near South Haven. Mike Gracy will officiate.
The family will greet friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Cloyd was born February 11, 1926, south of Hunnewell, to Earl and Hattie (Hamilton) Cully. He was reared and educated near Gage, Oklahoma and moved with his family to the Ashton area at age 10. He attended South Haven High School. Cloyd married Margery Austin in 1948. The couple had three children Paul, Mary, and Jean. Cloyd later married Leatrice (Searing) Reed in 1994. Cloyd was a farmer and stockman all of his life and working the same farm since 1955. He attended the Random Road Chapel of Arkansas City and the First United Methodist Church of South Haven, Cowley County Live Stock Association, Kansas Farm Bureau, and Ark City Men's Bowling Association.
Survivors include his wife Lea of the home; children Mary Morton of Oxford, Paul Cully of Abilene, Texas, Jean Marrs of Shawnee, Oklahoma; five grandchildren Rachel and husband Steve Farrar, Eric and wife Shanell Marrs, Lacey Dale and husband Dusty Grazia, Joshua and wife Crystal Morton, Reg and wife Tara Cully; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Melvin Cully.
