Ivan W. Booth, retired owner of Booth Plumbing, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield, Kansas at the age of 84.
Ivan was born the son of Claude and Myrtle (Riley) Booth on Saturday, December 17, 1927 in Braman, Oklahoma.
On May 9, 1946, Ivan and Doris Mae Patton were united in marriage in Wichita, Kansas. Together they celebrated 66 years of marriage.
Survivors include his sons, Robert W. Booth and his wife Joanna of Coffeyville, Kansas, David A. Booth and his wife Susan of Colbert, Oklahoma, Charles "Mike" Booth of Wellington, Kansas; grandchildren, John Booth, Tracy King and her husband Seth, Robert Booth, Sara Berghoefer and her husband Chad, William Booth, Lisa Herring, Bryan Booth and his wife Lisa, Chris Booth and Charles Booth, Jr., 19 great-grandchildren and his sister, Delores Lacey and her husband Jessie of Wichita, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; sisters, Evlene and Loucele; brothers, Everett and Earl and a great-grandson, Damion James Booth.
Memorial services for Ivan will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 1, 2012 in the chapel of Day Funeral Home, 1030 Mission Road, Wellington, Kansas. Pastor Virgil Swift will officiate.
A private interment will be held at a later date in the Kansas Veterans Cemetery, Winfield, Kansas.
Memorials have been established in his loving memory with the Alzheimers Association, 347 South Laura, Wichita, Kansas 67211. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
