Darwin L. Seal, age 66, life long Wellington resident, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at his home in Wellington.  He was an employee of Dillons for 49 years and had retired in January of this year.

Darwin L. Seal was born on August 10, 1946 in Wellington, KS to Howard H. Seal and

Cora Isabel (Blake) Seal.  He graduated from Wellington High School with the Class of 1964.

He enjoyed spending time visiting with family and friends and also all the customers at Dillons.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one nephew, Andy Seal; and two brothers, James and Gary.

Survivors include his brother, Charles Seal and his wife, Carole of Wellington, KS and his twin sister, Kathryn “Darlene” Panter of Derby, KS; three nephews, Jarrod Panter,   Joel Shane Seal and Toby Seal; and one niece, Cindy Destro.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church.  Pastor Larry Blue of St. John’s Lutheran Church will officiate.  Interment will follow the service at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, November 30, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.  The family will be present to greet friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.  In honoring Darwin’s wishes, the casket will remain closed.

Memorials have been established with St. John’s Lutheran Church and the Wellington Recreation Commission in lieu of flowers.  Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
