The final score was 29-24 in favor of the Lady-Indians, who jumped out to a 12-4 lead by the time the first quarter was over. In spite of a big third quarter from WHS that netted a one-point lead headed into the fourth, Clearwater got the win.

The basketball team, that is playing solid defense, has a long break to get their early offensive woes figured out, the ladies are now 3-3 on the season. The next game is Jan. 4, 2013 at home against Augusta.
    WHS boys drop four straight
The Wellington boys lost by seven last night, Dec. 18, at Clearwater High School. Three players accounted for 33 of the 44 Crusader points. Nick Becker, senior, had 13 points, Logan Woodbridge, senior, had 10 and Sophomore, Trevor Nance scored 10 as well.
The final score against the Indians was 51-44. The next time WHS takes the court will be Jan. 4, 2013 at home against Augusta. The Crusaders are now 2-4 on the season, after a four game losing streak headed into Winter break.
