Nathaniel Gene "Nat" Tingley of Joplin, Missouri formerly of Wellington, Kansas, passed away, December 22, 2012 at his home in Joplin, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, December 28th at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Wellington, Kansas. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 5:00 to 7:00P.M at the Hawks-Shelley Funeral Home of Wellington, Kansas. Nathaniel Gene Tingley was born on August 6, 1979 the son of Noel Gilbert Smith and Sharon Kay Russow in Pittsburg, Kansas. He was a 1997 graduate of Wellington High School. Nat worked a Cargill in Wellington for several years before joining the United States Army. He later went to Joplin after the Tornado and decided to stay in that area.
Survivors include his five children; Caitlyn, Shiloh, Jackson, Nickelaus and Izabelle all of Frankfort, Kansas, wife Kimberly Tingley of Joplin, step children; William Haines, Dakota Wammack and Jerason Wammack of Joplin, mother Sharon Lacey and step father Herbert Lacey of Wellington, KS, father Noel "Gilbert" Smith of Wichita, KS, and step mother Trish McCartney of Pittsburg, KS, sisters, Susan Auten of Wichita, KS, Sarah Rudd of Phillipsburg, KS and Erin Shore of Wellington, KS and step sister Leslie Lang of Winfield, KS, brother Irvin Tingley Jr., of Mulberry, KS as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceding him in death is his dad Gene Tingley, brothers, Barry and Shane Tingley and all sets of grandparents.
