The Lady-Crusaders will play for third place on Saturday.

Wellington will not win back-to-back championships at the Mulvane Wildcat Classic. Instead, they will play for third place after a 30-47 loss to Garden Plain on Thursday night.

The Lady-Crusaders failed to score more than eight points in any quarter against the Lady-Owls. However, senior Kailey Jenkins lead the team with 12 points on Thursday. Wellington's defense took a stand in the third quarter, holding GPHS to only three points. That pulled WHS to within five points heading into the final quarter, but it wasn't enough.
