Two people were injured on Tuesday, March 19 when the City of Wellington sanitation truck they were driving rolled over. The injuries were minor, but did require trips to Sumner Regional Medical Center.
"One of the occupants of the truck had to be extricated from the vehicle," states a press release from the Wellington Fire Department. "The refuse truck sustained major damage as it left the roadway and rolled."
The accident happened four miles west of Wellington on US-160 Highway, on the "S" curves, just after 2:30 p.m. The Fire and EMS department has not released the names of the people in the truck.
