Spring just can't seem to get going. The high school baseball and softball season openers have been postponed again.
The Wellington teams were meant to play in Rose Hill on Monday, but due to recent snowfall in the area, the fields were in poor condition. The games were moved to today (Tuesday, March 26), but the fields have not dried out enough. The make-up date for the two double-headers against Rose Hill has been set for April 18.
That means the Wellington teams will open the season at home on Thursday, March 28 against Mulvane. The baseball team starts the first double-header at 4 p.m. at Sellers Park. The Lady-Crusaders start their games at 4:30 p.m. at Worden Park.
