Winifred Addye Gerberding Love, age 84, of Caldwell, KS, passed away Wednesday evening, April 10, 2013 at Sumner Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Through the years she worked as a clerk for the ASCS office in Anthony, KS and also as a bookkeeper at Security State Bank in Wellington, KS.
Winifred Addye (Patterson) Love was born on July 22, 1928 in Wichita, KS to Floyd Patterson and Ethel (Blowey) Patterson. She was raised in the Anthony, KS and Manchester, OK area. She was a 1946 graduate of Anthony High School.
Winifred married Paul W. Gerberding on April 18, 1946 in Kingman, KS. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1972. She then married Orie Love on November 17, 1973 in Wellington, KS. He preceded her in death on February 29, 2000.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Paul Gerberding and Orie Love; brother, Wendell Patterson; and sister, Joy Oneth.
Survivors include her children, Doug Gerberding and his wife Sally of Wellington, KS; daughters, Paula Nulik of Belle Plaine, KS and Karen Fuchs and her husband Tim of Wellington, KS; step-children, Marshall Love and his wife Brenda of Caldwell, KS, Norma Ackeret of Wichita, KS, Rhonda Mock and her husband Bill of Argonia, KS, Karen Braddon and her husband Dave of St. John’s Island, S.C.; brother, Keith Patterson of Wellington, KS; sisters, Wilma George of Anthony, KS, Winona McNamar and her husband Darrel of Medicine Lodge, KS; sister-in-law, Betty Patterson of Anthony, KS; brother-in-law, Harold Oneth of Jacksonville, FL; seven grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and 20 step-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at the Corbin United Methodist Church in Corbin, KS, on April 16, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. Reverend Donna Wise will officiate. Graveside Services will be held at Forest Park Cemetery in Anthony, KS. at 2:00 P.M.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 15, 2013 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
Memorials have been established with Caldwell Food Bank and the Corbin United Methodist Church. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
