  • With a score of 351, the Wellington Crusader golf team finished in fifth place on Monday, April 15 in Andover.

"Logan Woodbridge [senior] was our low scorer with an 84," said Head Coach, James Ginter. "He finished one stroke out of 10th place. The conditions today we're not very favorable for low scores." The low score of the day belonged to Kale Reynolds from Maize High School, who shot a 73. Second place came in five strokes behind the leader, past that, the rest of the top 10 shot in the low 80's.
Maize also won first place as a team in Andovero n Monday, their score was 346, Valley Center shot 347 for second, Wichita Trinity scored a 348, and Andale shot 349.
Other noteable WHS scores belonged to seniors Brian Peck and Nick Becker, each of them shot an 88.
"Our kids were not very happy with our fifth place finish, but took solace in the fact that we were only five strokes out of first," Ginter said. "We are continuing to improve as a team and are looking forward to our upcoming tournaments."
