Willard R. "Bill" Bailey, of Wellington, Kansas, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at his residence at the age of 84.
Willard was born the son of Rector and Tillie (Frost) Bailey on Monday, January 21, 1929 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
On July 15, 1951, Willard and Ruth Brill were united in marriage in El Dorado, Kansas. Together they celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Willard retired from Laughlin Brothers where he worked as an International Drilling Superintendent. His position allowed him and his family to live abroad for over 29 years.
Survivors include wife, Ruth Bailey of Wellington, Kansas, daughter, Brenda Burnett and her husband Larry of Salina, Kansas, daughter, Ronda White and her husband Joe of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, sister, Mattie Ruth Woods and her husband Phil of Iowa, grandchildren: Stephanie Trent of Phoenix, Arizona, Tim Burnett of Springfield, Missouri, Matt Trent of Dallas, Texas, Lisa Burnett of Kansas City, Kansas and Stacie Burnett of Lawrence, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marjorie Adams.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2013 with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services for Willard will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the First Assembly of God in Wellington, Kansas.
Interment will follow in the Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Wellington, Kansas.
