Loren Lee Hearlson, 37, of Arkansas City

Loren Lee Hearlson, 37, of Arkansas City, died Monday (May 13, 2013) at his residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday (May 16, 2013) at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Geuda Springs Cemetery. Pastor David Stanley will officiate.

Loren was born April 1, 1976, in Wellington, to Alan and Leila (Mathews) Hearlson. He was reared and educated in Wellington for most of his education, but graduated from Arkansas City Highs School in 1995. Loren married his longtime companion, Cheryl Mayhill, on October 19, 2006. Loren has worked as a machinist for GKN Areospace in Wellington for the last 12 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and camping.

Survivors include his wife Cheryl Hearlson, children Preston and Jadin Hearlson; step-children Ashlie and Levi Langhorst; his father Alan and his wife Kimberly Hearlson of Wellington; mother Leila and her husband Tracy Walker of Arkansas City; sister Tricia and husband Nathan Cook of Geuda Springs; grandparents June Hearlson of Wellington; and G. Edward and Sharolyn Mathews of Caldwell.

He was preceded in death by his step-father Randy Benton, grandfather Everett Hearlson, uncles Irvin and Gilbert Hearlson, and cousins Brian and Athena Hearlson.

An educational fund has been established for his children Preston and Jadin. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
