Beer Advocate’s American Craft Beer Fest is kind of presenting a problem for me this year, but it’s not a bad problem – there’s just too many beers to choose from.
Each year I go, I always seek out new breweries that attend the fest and try at least one of their beers, while also checking out some of the special beers from some of my favorite breweries.
But this year, things will have to change. There are too many new breweries to do that. I typically stop at 30 to 35 samples of beer (about 70 ounces). But, a quick look at the 140 breweries coming to the fest, I count at least 30 first time attendees, mostly from New England -23 that I believe will be attending for the first time.
That also means there will be more than 600 beers to choose from. My plan will probably be to close my eyes and walk toward a brewery and just choose a beer, drink it and be happy.
Like I said, it’s a good problem, and it can be your problem too because tickets are still available for Friday night’s session, so click here if you’re interested in going.
