If you’re a fan of Samuel Adams Boston Lager, don’t go to Howlers in Pittsburgh, Penn.

The bar has announced that they will not sell Boston Lager or any other Boston beer during the NHL Conference Championships between the Penguins and the Bruins.

For some reason, they don’t want to support a Boston brewery. They must not be aware that there is a Samuel Adams brewery about 275 miles away in Breinigsville, Penn. There is a strong likelihood that the beer they refuse to sell has been brewed in their own state. Oops.

Now, if a Boston bar wants to do the same thing, what beer can they stop carrying? The only Pittsburgh beer we get is the Penn. Brewery, and I’ve never seen their beers on tap.

Oh well – go Bruins.
