More drug arrests in Wellington.

During Memorial Day Weekend, the Wellington Police Department seized approximately 92 grams of Methamphetamine and approximately 105 grams of marijuana, with a street value of approximately $10,000, on two unrelated traffic stops. In addition to the narcotics, WPD also seized two vehicles and one firearm. The first case occurred on Friday, May 24 after Wellington police were notified by Winfield PD of a theft in their City involving a vehicle with Sumner County registration.

Shortly after notification, WPD stopped the suspect vehicle and located the reported stolen property. During the search of the vehicle, drugs and a firearm were located. One 31 year old Wellington man, Curtis Michael Everhart, was arrested and booked into the Sumner County jail.

The second case occurred on Sunday, May 26, a report of subject selling drugs. WPD located the suspect vehicle and during the investigation, large quantities of drugs were located. Two Wellington men, Zane R. McHenry, 27 and Levi R. Lane, 34, along with one Wichita male, Juan S. Marquez, 37, were arrested and booked into Sumner County jail.
