  • Dodge City is coming off their first loss of the season, the Athletics are 2-1 overall after losing to Jayhawk league rival, Liberal on Thursday 5-2.
Wellington's game at El Dorado on Thursday was post-poned to July 15, so their record remains at 4-1 overall with a 1-1 record in the league, while the A's are 0-1. Each of those records will change tonight. It's still early in the season, but each Jayhawk Baseball League game is a high priority.
The Heat will start Josh Stone (1-0), right-hander from Tabor College. Stone's last appearance was in the first game of the season- a blowout win against the Denver Cougars.
This is the first of a three game series against the A's. The Heat will host Dodge City from June 7 to Sunday, June 9.
