Emergency crews were called to action on Sunday afternoon.
A Sunday afternoon fire caused $500 in damage to a Wellington business.
No one was injured during the incident that was called in to 911 just before 1 p.m. on July 7; that's when the Wellington Fire and EMS Department responded to the scene of a grass fire at Strickland Towing, 2910 N. A Street.
"Upon arrival firefighters found a grass fire and an unoccupied mobile home on fire," reads a press release from the WFD. "Additional resources were requested while firefighters extinguished the grass fire and entered the mobile home."
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
"Fire crews removed skirting from the exterior of the mobile home to ensure all fire was extinguished," the fire department said.
There were two fire engines, two brush trucks, one tender truck and an ambulance on the scene. Mutual Aid was received from Mayfield Fire Department and Sumner County District Nine Fire Department.
