Brackets are set for substate volleyball. Single elimination tournaments are set for Saturday across the state, with the state tournament set for the following Saturday.
Wellington (14-20) will vace Mulvane (11-21)on Saturday in Mulvane.
In the first match of the day Rose Hill (29-8) plays Winfield at 2 p.m. Wellington's match is 20 minutes after the first one ends.
The winners of those two matches meet for the substate title after the second match. It s a four-team single-elimination tournament.
In Class 1A, Sumner County has two of the top ranked teams in the state and they are in different divisions.
Caldwell is ranked No. 3 in 1A division 1 and will play at the South Haven sustate. Argonia is No. 3 in Class 1A division II and plays at the Chetopa meet.
In the South Haven sustate, Caldwell (34-3) gets a first-round bye. Matches start at 2 p.m. with South Haven playing Udall at 2 p.m.
Udall (22-13) also has a bye, as does Dexter - Cedarvale (17-16).
The winner of the first match will play Caldwellin the semis.
At the Chetopa substate, Argonia(32-5) is the top seed, and will face the winner of Colony Crest (2-31) and Elk Valley (2-25).
Oxford (10-20) will be playing in a Class 2A regional in Pratt in an eight-team single elimination tournament.
In Class 3A, Conway Springs (12-23) will be playing in the Garden Plain substate.
Belle Plaine (6-28) plays in a Class 3A substate in Douglass.
