Conditions during the day today should be clear and relatively calm, with winds continuing to drop off throughout the morning– definitely a welcome break from the powerful gusts that buffeted the county yesterday!
By this evening, the clear skies should begin to give way to rain clouds.
Precipitation chances are expected to climb steadily through the night, and rain is then forecasted to stay with us through early Wednesday morning. Meteorologists are also calling for an increase in the winds again, beginning in the early morning hours on Tuesday. Sustained winds in the teens will be accompanied by gusts in the mid-to-upper 20's at times, and not dropping off again until mid-day on Wednesday.
Throughout all this activity, we could hear some occasional thunder, but no strong or severe storms are currently expected to develop.
