  • While forecasters are still calling for bitterly cold conditions to arrive in our area tonight and tomorrow, they are not getting as excited about our snow chances. Light snow is still expected to fall tomorrow through Friday morning, but our accumulations are now predicted to be an inch or less.
The heaviest snowfalls will target southeast Kansas and those areas south of the state line (in fact, many parts of Oklahoma are currently facing a Winter Storm Warning). Meanwhile, up here in balmy Butler County…  Snow flurries are expected to accompany high temps of approximately 22 degrees, lows in the teens-to-single-digits, and overnight windchills just at or below zero degrees.
Looking ahead to the weekend, another chance for snow is predicted to enter our forecast Saturday night into Sunday. Again, some light accumulations will be possible, but no significant winter weather is expected in our area at this point (just cold…lots and lots of cold).
