Enjoy the break from winter and take advantage of the chance to soak up a little icicle-free fresh air.
Unseasonably warm conditions are forecast to continue (for the most part) through at least Sunday. Expect our sunny daytime highs to average around 45-50 degrees, while overnight lows hover in the 20s.
There are a couple of bumps in our picture-perfect outlook, though. On Friday we may need to pull our sweaters back out, as we temporarily dip back into the 30s. And hang on to your hat on Tuesday and Thursday…. Tuesday may see sustained northwest winds around 30 mph and gusts as high as 40 mph. Thursday’s breezes won’t reach quite the same levels, but could still gust into the low 30s. Between the strong winds, warm temps and dry grasses, our Grassland Fire Danger will leap into the Very High category both afternoons.
Enjoy the break from winter and take advantage of the chance to soak up a little icicle-free fresh air. However, if you are considering doing any outdoor burning over the next several days, please use caution and follow all of the proper burning/permitting procedures for your area!
