Apple reached a settlement today with the Federal Trade Commission and agreed to pay at least $32.5 million in refunds. The move comes after parents complained their children were able to buy things from apps without parental authorization. Once parents used a password to get an app, there was a 15-minute window in which more purchases could be made. One parent said her child racked up more than $2,000 in fees.

    Quote of note

"Naturally, this is very important to us and our resolve to continue our efforts to bring Bowe home as soon as possible. As we have done so many times over the past 4 and a half years, we request his captors to release him safely so that our only son can be reunited with his mother and father." - Statement from the family of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, given to the Times-News in Twin Falls, Idaho. Video of Bergdahl, who has been held captive by the Taliban since 2009, emerged that showed he was alive as of at least a month ago.
