  • Injuries reported in afternoon crash

  • Five people were injured, one apparently seriously, in a two vehicle accident at the intersection of US 160 Highway and Williams Drive. This was in front of Walmart, and cars were lined up and traffic stopped for awhile Saturday.

  • Five people were injured, one apparently seriously, in a two vehicle accident at the intersection of US 160 Highway and Williams Drive.  This was in front of Walmart, and cars were lined up and traffic stopped for awhile Saturday.
    According to police reports, A 2007 Honda Odyssey driven by a 38yoa Wellington resident was east bound on US 160 when a 1999 Ford Ranger, driven by a 67yoa South Haven resident pulled out into traffic attempting to make a left hand turn from Williams Drive. 
    Four people from the Honda Odyssey were transported from the scene by Wellington EMS to Sumner Regional Medical Center where they are currently being treated for minor injuries. 
    The male driver from the Ford Ranger was initially transported from the scene by Wellington EMS to SRMC and then transferred to Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita.   The cause of the accident is still under investigation, police said.
