The Golden Chippers topped a talented field of poop ploppers to claim the title at this year’s cow chip toss contest sponsored Friday by the Wellington Daily News to support the Wellington Area Food Bank. Twenty-four teams competed in this year’s event. Sponsored by the Golden Living Center, the 2008 Champion Golden Chippers were Cheryl Wright, Brenda Goodman, Shannon Prickett and Taylor Prickett. The team scored a total of 95 points with a game winning 50-point porcelain ringer deposited by Taylor Prickett.
