Wheat Fest nearing completion

Sunday is the last day of the 110th Wheat Festival. The day started with a breakfast with the Knights of Columbus at 7:30. Later in the morning, it was spikes in the sand as the Co-Ed Sand Volleyball Tournament got started at Melody Bowl. At 1 p.m. todayis the Antique Tactor Association Tractor Pull in the 300 block of East 3rd.

Crusaders of old take the court at the high school gym today also. The WHS Alumni Basketball Game tips off at 2 p.m. with the girls game. The boys game will start as soon as the first game is over.

From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. there are two events going on that will wrap up the Wheat Festival. There is an Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social at Calvery Lutheran Church- 1300 N. C st. That will benefit the Wellington Ministerial Alliance. At the Wellington Family Aquatic Center there will be a Free Family Swim.
