Thursday's storm drenched the City and brought high winds. A 70 mile an hour straight-lined wind was reported on West 16th associated with the storm. Minor damage was caused at the new Free Will Baptist Church.

The Wellington City Council named Stacy Davis to the Planning Commission during Tuesday’s Council meeting. Davis received a 6-0 vote from the council, and was the only applicant after two 15-day application periods.

Friday, June 24 Officers investigated a theft in the 1200 block of East 4th at 11:10 a.m. At 1:10 p.m. officers investigated a theft by deception in the 400 block of West Harvey.

Officers took a report of suspicious activity in the 1700 block of North B at 9:17 a.m. Emberly M. Blake, 18, Caldwell, was issued a notice to appear and charged with speeding, radar indicated 58 mph in a 45 mph zone at 2 p.m.
