My daughter was just sent home from Wellington High School for having a lip piercing. Apperantly its a hazard. If she gets in a fight she may get punched in the lip. OK, whatever, I can see that. Funny thing is the school board says nose piercings are fine. Nobody gets punched in the nose anymore I guess. When I was growing up, the nose was usually a target in a fight. I guess "originality" is frowned upon in our wonderful "public learning facilities." If thats the case, maybe they should go to uniforms and remove every last bit of "self expression". I already had property taxes go through the roof because every time the school bond got voted down, they just kept re-voting until they got what they wanted. Live well, Live Wellington? Really? Only if you do it they're way. I really hope I'm not the only one who feels this way!
