The Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce/CVB is pleased to announce Joni Rinehart will be joining our team as receptionist.

Joni was born in Omaha, Nebraska and grew up in Blue Springs, Missouri. She attended the University of Missouri and graduated with a BS of Science in Fashion Merchandising. Joni and her husband, Leonard, have lived on a farm in Sumner County for 33 years. She is most proud of her daughters, Kati and Kari. Her experience includes working as a branch manager for 13 years.

Joni is excited for the opportunity to work with the chamber and serve the Wellington area/Sumner County. "It's been my dream to be a part of something great," said Rinehart. Her motto is to bloom where you are planted. "In my heart I know this is where I'm meant to grow with the chamber." Joni's interests include sewing, gardening and decorating.

With the addition of Joni to the team, the Chamber will be able to continue growth throughout the county. Wanda Kelsey, office manager, recently celebrated two years with the Chamber and works part time. Executive Director Annarose White will celebrate her two year anniversary in March.

The Board of Directors and staff are looking forward to the opportunity to better serve current and future members. The Chamber being fully staffed will also allow for greater function of and access to Memorial Auditorium and the Veterans Room.

Planning is currently underway for five major Chamber events: Ladies Night Out, April 1, Chisholm Trail BBQ Cook Off, April 28 - 29, 117th Kansas Wheat Festival, July 12-16 and Fall Festival & Homecoming, October 21st.

The Chamber represents over 230 members consisting of thousands of employees. These members have chosen to invest with the Chamber, not only to benefit their own business, but to invest in the growth of their local business community through the Chamber. We invite you to join the Chamber!
