Pierce Collier, of Wellington, Kansas, died Friday, January 05, 2018 at Via Christi/ St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 82. Pierce was born the son of Frances Leon and Bonnie Doris (Bourland) Collier on Saturday, September 07, 1935 in Wellington, Texas. Pierce lived in the Ft. Worth/Dallas area until 1991 when he relocated. On November 11, 1989, Pierce and Brenda Diane Ecton were united in marriage in Wellington, Kansas. Together they celebrated 28 years of marriage. Survivors include his wife Brenda Collier of Wellington, Kansas; son, Larry Collier and his wife Dana of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Terri Daniel of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Sarah Collier of Wichita, Kansas; daughter, Janafer Weems and her husband Wayne of Rome, Georgia; son-in-law, James Stroud; brother, John Collier of Waynesboro, Tennessee; grandchildren: Amanda, Cory, Donavan, Darren, James, Jeremiah, Lacie, Brandi, Emily, Isaac; 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters: Doris, Joyce, Caroline and a daughter, Debbie Stroud. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2018, with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. Funeral services for Pierce will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Wellington Free Will Baptist Church, Wellington, Kansas.
