Carmon Huegel, a lifelong Wellington resident passed away peacefully in Colorado surrounded by her family.  This photo expresses how Shery, Tim, Matt, Elli, Marley, Chris, Arin, Eilla, Braden and Dax choose to remember Carmon.   Carmon's greatest passion in life was being a loving wife to George, Mom, Grandma, GG and sister to Bob.  Carmon enjoyed volunteering her time at the Presbyterian Bargain Store, Chisholm Trail Museum  and would never pass up a good card game.

Carmon was an avid baker.  Anytime we walked in the house for a visit we always hoped to see her delicious chocolate sheet cake sitting on the counter.  Then we would all have one "small" piece after another.
Enjoy:

2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
Bring 4 T. cocoa, 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup vegetable oil and 1 cup water to a boil and pour over the flour and sugar.  Mix well.
Add 2 beaten eggs, 1 cup buttermilk, a teaspoon soda and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Pour onto a greased and floured sheet pan and bake @ 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
Frosting:
Boil 6 tablespoons milk, 4 tablespoons cocoa and 1/2 cup butter.  Remove from heat and add 1 box of powdered sugar and 1 cup chopped nuts.
Pour over cake and let cool.

Eat in small pieces for lovely enjoyment and think of Carmon!

The Chisholm Trail Museum holds a very special place in the hearts of our family.  Please honor Carmon and GIVE abundantly!
