The City Council voted 4-2 against the automated trash proposal.  Council members Etter and Hawley were the only ones to vote in favor of the proposal.  Immediately after the results of the vote were announced, the crowd seated in the back of the room burst into applause.  The dialogue between Council Members Etter and Valentine was contentious.  The next move will be at the workshop session on Feb. 20th, where the council will discuss their options of how to move forward.  A full article on this will be in next Wednesday's newspaper.
