Carley Ann Moberg, 63, of Wellington, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, at her home in Wellington.
Carley was the daughter of Dr. Karl W. and Wanda (Koeger) Moberg, born May 6, 1954 in Wellington. She attended school in Wellington and graduated with the Class of 1972. Following high school, she attended both Kansas University in Lawrence, (where she became a lifelong Jayhawk fan), and Southwestern College in Winfield. She graduated from Southwestern in 1977 with a degree in accounting. Carley worked in that field for several years before taking a different career path working with students and schools. She was proud of her time at Wellington High School as the School to Career Coordinator. While there,  she became involved with the Infinite Campus program. She left there to work for Computer Information Concepts,  where she was an accounts representative,  and enjoyed meeting and helping others work with Infinite Campus. She recently began working part time with Fluent Forever and thoroughly enjoyed working for them.
She was passionate about tracing her family genealogy and attended many workshops in pursuit of information on her Swedish ancestry.
Carley rarely met a stranger. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, classmates, and bridge club group. She touched many lives and will be missed by her family, friends, and coworkers.
Survivors include her sister, Melissa Geubelle and her husband Mike of Claremore, Oklahoma; her nephew Austin Geubelle of Owasso, Oklahoma; her cousins Kenny and Sarah Moberg of Lindsborg; Randy and Barbara Moberg of Camdenton, Missouri. Her dear friends Angie Ratcliff and Ronnie Soria of Wellington; and her honorary granddaughter Lizzy Kearney of Eldorado, who called her Gram Mo.
Memorial services for Carley will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2018 in the First Presbyterian Church, Wellington.
Interment will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens, Wellington.
A memorial fund has been established in her loving memory to the WHS.CC Laptop Program. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
