Cowley College President Dr. Dennis C. Rittle and Sumner County Operations Officer Janet Grace recently hosted Congressman Ron Estes for a tour of the new Cowley College Sumner Campus Technology and Innovation Center.

Congressman Estes expressed to Dr. Rittle how impressed he was to see the cooperation between the College and the Community to make this project a reality. Dr. Rittle responded that when people have the spirit of partnership, the impossible becomes possible.

Estes was accompanied by his coordinator, Deborah Luper and his press secretary, Roman Rodriguez. Joining the tour were project architects Cheri Hulse and David Herlocker and Cowley College vice-president of academic affairs Dr. Harold W. Arnett.

“The progress of the Cowley College Sumner Campus is truly impressive,” said Rep. Ron Estes. “I’m thankful to Dr. Rittle and college leaders for taking time to discuss the new facilities and exciting programs that will be offered in Wellington – like computer science and information technology, agriculture, and manufacturing. As a member of the House Education and Workforce Committee, I’m pleased that the Sumner Campus will equip more students in our region with skills they need for successful careers.”
