Payton Ginter played for the Crusaders at Augusta this afternoon. According to Coach James Ginter, she went on to finish 8 over par for the day.  Payton finished 4th on the day, 8 strokes off the leader and 2 strokes out of 2nd.

She is one of two students on the girls golf team this fall.  She was the only one competing in Augusta Thursday.  Coach Ginter said she "was doing okay, getting the jitters out," as he kept up with her progress in a golf cart. 

Andover, Andover Central, Augusta, Circle, Maize South, Valley Center, Wichita Trinity Academy all competed, along with Wellington, at the tournament held at the Augusta Country Club Thursday afternoon. 

The next opportunity for tournament play will be at Sierra Hill  against twelve opponents on Tues. Sept. 4th at 3:00 p.m.

On Thurs. Sept. 6th, Winfield Country Club will be the host for the Crusaders to join nine opponents at 1:00 p.m.

On Mon. Sept. 10th, Wellington will be the host as four opponents come to play at 3:00 p.m.

El Dorado will play host as Wellington joins ten opponents to play on Mon. Sept. 17th at 9:00 a.m.
