GKN Aerospace VP and General Manager Roger Emley and Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce director Shelley Hansel drew the grand prize Wheat Festival winner Monday afternoon, July 14.
Wellington’s Bill Horsch was the winner of a travel package valued up to $7,000 and $1,000 cash donated to the event. GKN Aerospace was the proud event sponsor of the 2008 Wheat Festival.
This year’s grand prize is a choice of among over 60 luxurious vacation sites with an additional $1,000 donated for the winner toward travel arrangements.
JP Buellesfeld, president of Buellesfeld Financial Services, Inc., donated the vacation package valued between $2,500 and $7,000, depending on the chosen destination.
The winner will be placed in five-star resort accommodations, including a luxurious two bedroom and two bathroom-sized master suite, for a seven-day vacation over Memorial Day weekend, 2009.
There are over 70 destination choices, including eight packages from the Disney Vacation Club, 50 Mariott Club and five Royal Mexico Resort locations — many of which are among the top 25 resort locations in the world.
360 Wichita, the business renovating the Chamber’s website, donated $1,000 to the winner to help with travel expenses.
