The House of Frames frame shop on west Harvey Ave. in Wellington is closing.  The business got it's start in just over six years ago, in August of 2005. Then in August '07, owner Brenda Dwyer moved the business from her home, to downtown Wellington.

"It's been a wonderful, wonderful time," Dwyer said. "I've made so many new friends and met so many new people." The shop is still thriving, Dwyer said. Closing the doors is not due to a lack of business.

"Mainly just health reasons," Dwyer explained. "I'm going to miss it so much." She said since she opened in 2005, there has seldom been a dull moment at The House of Frames.

"I am so busy, that business is very, very busy," she said.  "I think in all of these six years, I've had one month that was a little slow." Dwyer said her passion for the framing business comes from the love of making things better.

"I just love to make things beautiful," she continued. "I have a lot of customers that drop something off and say 'here, do your magic.'"  With the free time in the Dwyer's future, they are already making plans.

"We're hoping to travel more, and we'll get to see our grandchildren more often," she said, and pointed out that they've missed a lot of their grandkid's ball games. As far as when the House of Frames will officially closed, Dwyer said the process has already begun.

"It's already closed," she said. "I have a couple of items to finish up, but I'm not taking any new orders right now."
The House of Frames will be having a close out sale, it is yet to be decided when.
