OXFORD: Oxford Elementary School, (OES), held their annual Field Day last Wednesday, May 26.
Students and staff donned T-shirts that read “Field Day, Is Good” and participated in events that included a Moonwalk, sponsored by the Oxford Lions Club and played kickball. The track portion of field day included a warm-up lap in which students could earn a wrist band and a bottle of water, 50, 100 & 800-meters dashes, long jump & high jump, softball throw, and 4x100-meter relay.
Oxford High School students helped PE teacher Tracy Adams with the organization and events. The day ended on a wet note, when the Rural Township Fire District #3 fire truck arrived and sprayed everyone with a light mist from the fire truck hoses.
