Who: Children and young adults
Where: The Wellington Public Library
What: Summer reading program
When: June 7 through July 30, 2010
While the actual reading will start on June 7, there will be a kick-off to the program Thursday, June 3 at 2 p.m. centered around a beach party theme.
Registration for the Summer Reading Program has been open since May 17. All participants will receive a program kit once they register.
Throughout the summer, the library will be offering a variety of programs, giveaways and contests.
Particpants need to keep track of their readings to earn “beach bucks.” Those can be traded in for prizes. The more one reads, the more prizes one can earn.
Every week in July the librarians will host a fun filled party with stories, games, activites, crafts and refreshments, pre-registration is required.
There is a lot more that the Summer Reading Program has to offer. It is for young adults in 7th through 12th grade.
