Wellington police issued a citation Monday following an accident that injured two teenagers Friday in Woods Park.
    According to police reports, Zachary R. Troutman, 14, of Wellington, was issued a notice to appear charged with reckless driving and unlawful use/violation of an instructional permit license.
    Troutman was driving a late model Chrysler Thursday, June 26 when he lost control and slammed into a tree on the west end of Woods Park near Slate Creek.
    Five teens were in the car at the time of the accident.
    One passenger remains in intensive care after being air-lifted to a Wichita hospital following the accident.
     A second teen was transported from the scene by Wellington emergency personnel.
    Wellington Chief of Police Tracy Heath said the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and the driver lost control on the gravel roadway.
