    A simple traffic stop in Wellington ended with an arrest Friday.
Capt. Mike Yoder said a Sumner County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a vehicle around 3:30 p.m. for a minor traffic violation, when the man in the car started running from law enforcement.
Several officers were involved in the chase, with one catching up with the suspect and attempting to get him to stop, Yoder said.
After telling the man several times to stop, the deputy tased the suspect, ending the chase in an alley behind the former Apple Market on Jefferson Street.
Chico L. Wilson, 35, of Wellington was arrested for transporting an open container, flee and elude, driving while suspended, failure to yield to an approaching vehicle and obstruction of legal process.
