Casino developers will once again get their day in Topeka as the Kansas Lottery Commission plans to hear contracts Wednesday.
The commission will consider the approval of contracts for Lottery Gaming Facility Managers in both the South Central and Northeast Gaming Zones at the commission meeting.
The board will vote on the proposals on Thursday, June 25th.
The meeting will be held at the Kansas Lottery Headquarters at 128 N. Kansas Ave., in Topeka.
Each applicant will present short presentations. It is unknown whether the commission will approve the contracts at the June 17 meeting or at a later date.
The South Central Gaming Zone applicants will be heard in the afternoon starting at 1 p.m. with Lakes Kansas Development followed by South Central Gaming Partners (Prairie Sky) and Chisholm Creek Casino Resort (Foxwoods).
The public may listen in to the public meeting, as space is limited in Topeka, Kansas Lottery officials said.
To get on the conference line, dial (877) 278-8686 and enter the PIN number 789296 when prompted.
To reduce noise on the line and to allow for an orderly meeting, mute your phone by pressing *7.
To unmute, press *9. To increase volume on the conference call press *2 or to decrease, hit *8.
The deadline for the Kansas Lottery Commission to negotiate contracts with developers is June 30. All contracts approved by the commission will be forwarded to the Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board, which will select one manager for each gaming zone.
