INCENTIVE PLAN
The Wellington City Council, in August 2011, unanimously approved a measure that would encourage new residents to come to the city. For those who build new homes they will receive a five-year rebatement tax through Neighborhood Revitalization Program, $1,750 for closing costs and a 10 percent discount on city utilities, and more. There are incentives for new residents moving into exisiting homes, and for those who choose to rent. The program would apply to th first 50 people to move into town.
