Dr. Aldon E. Corle, Jr., a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, saw his first patients at Sumner Regional Medical Center on Thursday, January 26th.  A small reception was held to celebrate the occasion and for Corle to meet members of the community.

Dr. Corle attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence, where he received a Bachelors degree in Chemistry. He went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. In June 2010, Dr. Corle completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Wesley, through KU Medical Center—Wichita, and has been practicing in Wichita since July 2010, when he joined the practice at Mid-Kansas Women’s Center, PA.

Corle said will also be helping patients in Wellington with different forms of contraception and common maladies. He also said he plans on using laparoscopic and hysteroscopic methods to perform many types of same-day procedures to save people from traveling.

“I’ve seen how smaller towns can struggle, and if there’s something I can do to help patients, and it benefits them, and they don’t have to travel to Wichita, then I’m glad to do what I can.”

Dr. Corlse will be seeing patients the fourth Thursday of every month at Sumner Regional Medical Center. To make an appointment, contact Mid-Kansas Women’s Center at 316-685-1277.
