Another house caught on fire this past Saturday in Wellington. An estimated $6,000 worth of damages occurred at the residence located at 624 E. 4th.

"When firefighters arrived they found a one story wood frame house with smoke showing from the eaves and a roof vent," reads a press release from the Wellington Fire Department (WFD). "A small fire was found in the attic of the home and was extinguished quickly." To get the fire out, the WFD removed a 6' by 6' section of the ceiling to help with fire suppression.

The house is owned by Dale Hutchinson, occupied by Bryan Studer.  No one was injured during the incident. The Fire happened about twenty minutes before 1 p.m. on Feb. 18. The fire department attributes the cause of the flames to electrical wiring in the attic.  Saturday's fire is the fourth house fire to occur in Wellington in 2012.
