The 109th Wheat Festival is boasting some big winners in events from photo contests to lip sync. This year’s winners as presented at the annual Picnic in the Park are:
Harvest Photo Contest
First place went to Tracie Rusk with second place winner Julie Zeka and third place winner Stacy Dry. Other photo entries were submitted by Heidi Theurer and Brenda Brownlee.
Wheat King
First place this year went to Ray Wyckoff with second and third place winner Jay Zimmerman.
Harvest Prince
Winner was Rylan Biles with second place winner Hunter Harmon.
Harvest Princess
This year’s Harvest Princess is Olivia Dockery. Other contestants were Kadin Brown and Crystal Ramirez.
Poster Contest
Cowen Rains was announced the winner of this year’s Wheat Festival Poster Contest. Other participants included Emma Rains, Julien Ramirez, Adrian Ramirez, Brooklyn Henter and Bryanne Henter.
Lip Sync Contest
Individual 10 & Under
Carson LeGrand took home the grand prize with his rendition of “Thriller” by Michael Jackson. Second place winner was his sister, Elise LeGrand with third place winner Riley Nelson. Other participants in this category were Timothy Tracy, Alexis Tracy, Kirstian Bruns, Kelli Kemper.
Individual 11 & Up
The grand prize winner in this category was Makayla Knox singing “You Belong to Me” by Taylor Swift. Second place winner was Emeli Bryant with third place winner Kayla Tracy. Other participants included Shelly Tracy, April Dugan, Brooke Tracy and Mackinze Tracy.
Group
With colorful costumes and groovy dance moves, this year’s group winner in the Lip Sync contest was Pimpin’ Grabbers — Brittany Walker, Jade Dry, Sierah Walker, Dakota Dry, Keven Walker, and Karah Conrardy. Second place went to Country Girls — Leanna Heller and Natasha Janney with Emma Rains and Reeses Heasty taking third. Other participants included the Tracy Boys — Shelly and Timothy Tracy and the Tracy Girls — Alexis, Mackinze, Kayla and Brooke Tracy.
