    Dean Williams, of Wellington, Kansas, died Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Kansas at the age of 77.
   Dean was born the son of Rita (Freeman) and Thurman C. Williams on Monday, February 22, 1932 in Hobart, Oklahoma.
   On November 19, 1950, Dean and Christeen Faye Taylor were united in marriage in Hobart, Oklahoma. Together they celebrated over 59 years of marriage.
   Dean worked as a maintenance mechanic at Boeing Aircraft and retired after 39 years. He was also a reserve police officer in the early 1970's for the City of Wellington.
   He was preceded in death by his parents: Rita Norman and Thurman Williams and daughter-in-law Barbara (Shobe) Williams.
   Survivors include his wife, Christeen Williams, sons: Bobby Williams and his wife Merry, Billy Williams, daughter, Patricia White, grandchildren: Timothy Williams and his wife Crystal, Samantha Williams, Jenifer Rains all of Wellington, Kansas, Rita Howell and her husband Mark of Wichita, Kansas, 8 great-grandchildren, Emileigh, Hannah & Olivia Speagle, Steven Williams, Jessica & Drake Rains, Matthew & Reanna Howell.
   Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2010 with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m..
   Funeral services for Dean will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 11, 2010 in the chapel of  Day Funeral Home, Wellington.
   Interment will follow in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Wellington, Kansas.
   Memorials have been established in his name and loving memory with Wellington Humane Society or Wellington Boy Scouts-Troop 303.
