Billy Eugene Marshall Sr., 70, passed away Friday, May 12, at Mercy Hospital, Moundridge, Kans.

He was born Jan. 7, 1947 in McCook, Neb., the son of James I. and Elsie Mae (Tauber) Marshall. He was a United States Navy Veteran and retired carpenter.

Billy was an avid dog lover, loved to ride his Harley’s and did so right up until he passed away. He was a Patriot Guard Rider out of Mulvane, Kans.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Kenny James Conner Marshall and a brother Timothy Lynn Marshall.

Billy is survived by a son Billy Eugene Marshall Jr. of Wellington; a daughter Nanci Lynn (Steven) Palmer of Wellington; girlfriend Candice Sturtz of Moundridge; five sisters, Vivian (Wiley) Helzer, Joyce Siebuhr, Jackie (Victor ) Piña all of Hutchinson, Esther Bennett, Pam (Mark) Hoag all of Columbus; four brothers, Richard (Dee) Marshall Sr., Francis (Cindy) Marshall, Russell (Tyra) Marshall, James (Brenda) Marshall Jr. all of Hutchinson; four grandchildren, Daniel (Brooke) Palmer, Hannah Palmer, Alexis Marshall, Blayz Marshall; six great-grandchildren, Ellanor, Adalyn, Aleeyah, Nathan, Josslyn and Brentley and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Billy’s life will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Wayne Pittman officiating. There will not be a public visitation as cremation was chosen. Memorials may be given to the American Lung Association in care of the funeral chapel.
