P.C. Oliver, 91, of Oxford, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 26, 2017, at the Oxford United Methodist Church in Oxford.
Burial will follow at the Oxford Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the Shelley Family Funeral Home in Wellington from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m., with the family present from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m., at the Shelley Family Funeral Home in Wellington.
In lieu of flowers memorials have been established with the Oxford United Methodist Church and the Wellington United Methodist Church.

P.C. Oliver was born on Sept. 8, 1925, in Oxford, the son of Phillip and Esther (Salazar) Oliver Sr.
He graduated from Oxford High School in 1943 and joined the United States Navy, serving his country from 1943 until 1946.
On Jan. 18, 1945 P.C. was united in marriage to Elmeree Kleier.
P.C. also graduated from the St. Louis Mortuary College in 1947 and apprenticed at Swisher-Taylor Morris Mortuary in Winfield.
P.C. returned to Oxford to help his father in Oliver Furniture and Mortuary in Oxford. He served the people of Oxford as a third generation mortician until 1991.
He and Elmeree moved to Santa Fe, N.M, and worked part time as a funeral director for 15 years and before returning to Wellington in May of 2006.
He was a member of Oxford Lions Club, Oxford American Legion, Methodist Churches in Oxford and Wellington, and the Presbyterian Church in Santa Fe.
He liked fly fishing in New Mexico and Oregon, mushroom hunting, upland game, and duck hunting. P.C. loved singing, dancing, choir directing, spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren’s activities.
P.C. is survived by his loving wife, Elmeree of the home; children: Ginny Butts and husband Bill of Wellington, Gerry Oliver of Oxford, and Brian Oliver and his wife Elizabeth of Joseph, Ore.; six grandchildren: Jason Butts and his wife Bridget, Adrienne Rader and her husband Brian, Adam Oliver and his wife Tammy, Aaron Oliver and his wife Denise, Dama Chrisman, and Megan Oliver; 11 great grandchildren and three great greatgrandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, great grandson, Shepard Rader, daughter-in-law, Betty Oliver and a sister, Holly Crain.
