Stanley Scott, 52, of Oxford, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 in Oxford, Kansas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 31, 2017, at the Oxford First Christian Church. Burial will follow at the Oxford Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the Oxford Funeral Service from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. with the family present from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Oxford Funeral Service Chapel in Oxford. Stanley Mitchell Scott was born on Oct. 16, 1964 in Independence, Kan., the son of Clayton and Anna (Rahn) Scott. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1984 and received a business degree from Cowley County Community College. He was a talented, self-employed farm equipment mechanic. Stanley enjoyed deer hunting and loved his blue healer, Zero.

Stanley is survived by his father Clayton Scott and step-mother Marian Scott of Oxford; two sisters: Diana Austin and her companion Richard Stafford of Augusta, Teresa Pierce and her husband David of Wellington, and a brother, Clinton Scott and his wife Virgie of Wichita; numerous nieces and nephews and a his close family friend, Chad Long of Winfield.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Anna Belle Scott, a brother, Gregory Scott and a nephew, Eric Nettleton.
